What is Traven?

Traven is the point to point Cross-Border E-commerce platform to provide a shopping service for our users. Traven consists of the concept of C2B( Customer to Business) and C2C ( Customer to Consumer) to bring more value to our user. In the platform, there are two roles who are Traveller( Seller) and Requestor (Buyer)

 

Traven is providing a platform to allow Traveller to sell their products or items to Requestor. Traveller can be the part time or full time purchaser to travel to relevant country to help requestor to buy products/items they want. Prior on travelling to the country, Traveller can put all the items they wish to sell and Requestor can place order as much as they can before the post is expired. That’s where you can find all of these in ‘Post Product’

 

Another interesting and unique point is that requestor can post the item they wish to buy and waiting to be offerred by Traveller. Therefore, Requestor can compare all the offer and make an final decision to buy their product.

 

The objective of Traven platform is to provide a peer-to peer market place that can allow traveller who have extra luggage space to buy things from overseas to meet local demand. In the view of requestor, it helps to save the international shipping costs and save all the troublesome procedure for forwarding and custom clearance and can grab exclusive goodies at the very first time. In the view of traveller, it can help to earn more money by helping requestor to purchase item

 

Key-point in our Traven Shopping Platform

1. Provide a platform that are two-ways direction that allow traveller to sell their product to earn money by helping to purchase products for requestor. At the other hand, requestor can post item they wish to buy and waiting offer from different travellers and compare each offer before making decision
2. Keep shopping and feel experience by helping requestor to buy their product.

4. Save international shipping cost and avoid troublesome

Why Crowdfunding?

E-commerce and running a shopping platform are long term business and it need to cost a lot of money in webpage/app development, Features and function improvement, sales & marketing strategic, advertisement ,delivery tracking system, product graphic design and etc. We have already invested RM100k ourselves to build existing web-page, operating system and etc and we are running out of the funding.

We are committed to create more value to our user and hope can improve more on our Traven platform by utilized the fund we get from crowdfunding.

Budget Plan

In our next step forward, we are planning to develop a mobile app as our top priority. Nowadays, people are more tend to use mobile app instead webpage. In addition, advertisement, sales and market are also our priority to carry on in order to make more people know on us. The budget plan are break down as below:

 

1. Android and IOS Traven Mobile App - RM20,000
2. Advertisement (Video formation, writting introduction,Facebook and Instagram marketing and etc), Sales and marketing strategy( Setup member system, provide free gift/voucher/credit point and etc) - RM25,000
3. DevelOp own delivery system and customize own packing - RM10,000
4. Operating cost, Admin cost and etc - RM3000

 

The development cost in app and marketing are weighted in high percentage and we do not expect we can get 100% funding from here. We hope we can get as much as so that can carry on on our Mobile App development.

Name: Tyson Chan

Background

Previously is Senior Sales Engineer in Environmental Engineering, he loves to travel around world with his wife. His wife is enjoy shopping and love to bring back item for her families and friends. Tyson found that it might be a potential to create a platform to gather all people to greatly utilize their extra luggage space to bring back item. Therefore, it acquire the comment from Mr Teo Weiqin who is his high-schoolmate and gather positive feedback and working out together.

In Traven, Tyson is playing an miscellaneous work and find resources to make sure platform is running well.

Name: Teo Wei Qin

Background

Currently is System Solution Consultant. He claimed himself as a Technophile. H enjoy the programming world for more than 15 years. Faith in technology and believe it will make human life. He found that Traven is potential and join with Tyson to work up together.

In Traven, Wei Qin is working on all issues related with IT and system operation.
